Matthew has over 20 years’ experience in the IT industry and specialises in IT controls, security and data forensics.
He is a frequent contributor to the media and has been invited to speak on cyber-crime and Information Security matters in the Channel Islands and further afield, he was proud to be invited recently to follow the keynote speech from Lord Digby Jones at the ICSA conference in London, which was a tough act to follow!
He has developed security awareness training material to highlight the importance of Information Security and therefore appreciates how hard it can be sometimes to make it relevant why Information Security is so important for both individuals and the companies they work for.
He is also a volunteer for Safe and Secure Online a global initiative between (ISC)2 and Childnet and is passionate about the protection of children online, he regularly presents to both pupils and their parents on this topic.
Matthew is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
Why I Joined The Analogies Project
“Having experienced first-hand how difficult it can be to translate to decision makers and stakeholders the relevance of Information Security, I see this project as an excellent way of getting these messages across in a way that can be understood by a wider audience.
Information Security affects everyone, both at work and in their personal lives, if more understood the changes that they could make and the impact that these changes can have, there would be less fraudulent activity and fewer incidents.”
