Ben Sheard is responsible for Information Security across Europe for DHL Supply Chain. He has worked in the IT sector for over 26 years with experience in Software / Network Support, Government Agencies, Trading Floors, Civil Aviation Authority, Broadcasting companies & Sewerage Farms. It’s a dirty job, but someone’s got to do it!
Ben has a broad and deep understanding of technology infrastructure and information security best practice. His first big role in security was at the UKs largest estate agency group, Countrywide PLC, which was followed by Whitbread (who own Premier Inn & Costa.)
Ben has worked everywhere from Canary Wharf Tower (when there were no lifts or stairs forcing him to travel in a crane bucket up the building) to Sony Music.
He has worked in a vast range of roles including hardware support, Network Support, Online Business Dev, Infrastructure Support & Infrastructure management. His strong commercial orientation and understanding of the importance and context of his role plays a large part in helping support and drive the profitability of organisations.
Why I Joined The Analogies Project
“I wanted to be part of the project to help people realise security aren’t the team that say no, but support people to do the right thing the right way.”
