Why I Joined the Analogies Project

“After many years in the information security field one comes to the conclusion that “people” are the most important factor in maintaining good security.  When I worked on the Generally Accepted Systems Security Principles (GASSP), I raised the question of the importance of Security Awareness in an overall Security Program.  Information Security Professionals around the world agreed that people need to become aware of what they can do to improve and maintain information security.  So it was that “Security Awareness” became a Principle.  I see the Analogies Project taking that security “Principle” to the next level.   With the help of this project people will hopefully begin to see that it is “Security that makes the difference” in all aspects of our lives.”
