Why I Joined The Analogies Project
My passion is helping people and organizations truly understand cyber risks and what to do about them. Since most people are not cyber experts, we need to make these risks and consequences real for them. The best way that I know how to do so is through making a connection or association to something that is more easily recognized or understood.
If we can’t understand something, the tendency is to ignore it. I have used analogies throughout my entire career to make hard-to-grasp issues real. Once we understand the problem, we can motivate action to implement effective, action-oriented strategies to improve our security posture.
I am so pleased to be a part of the Analogies Project because of its focus on the importance of communicating in a way that most of us can understand.
